GigStamp, the new check-in app for music fans, is proud to announce a partnership with ground-breaking metropolitan festival Camden Crawl 2014 as the official check-in app for the event. GigStanp will link from and complement the festival’s own mobile app which supplies line-up, scheduling, artist info and music streaming.
GigStamp is a free app for iPhone and Android which enables music fans to build up a digital diary of all the gigs they go to and share a personalised stamp from each one with their social media friends. The app combines the band name, artwork, venue and user details to generate a unique, personalised CC14 GigStamp.
CC14 takes place at more than 25 venues across NW1 on June 20th and 21st and fans will be able to use GigStamp to check-in when they see any band during the weekend.
GigStamp is the first app from a partnership between Gordon Duncan of music PR agency APB and developer Dave Taylor of Pogokid.
Gordon said: “We’re really excited to launch GigStamp with Camden Crawl. With such a variety of brilliant bands playing across the weekend, it’s the perfect event to show what the app can do. Fans can build a record of all the bands they see and help to spread the word on their favourites. We’re seeing stamps initiate conversations about the bands on social media and, once someone starts using it, they want to keep going to make sure their GigStamp collection is complete.”
CC14 promoter Lisa Paulon said: ‘It is fantastic to be involved in the launch of GigStamp at this year’s Camden Crawl. We believe the app will act as the ultimate souvenir from our festival weekend, allowing festival-goers to record all of their gig experiences and share with their friends. At such a large scale, complex event, it will be an invaluable asset in remembering everywhere you have been and all the bands you’ve seen.’
GigStamp offers bands and events a simple and effective new promotional platform, harnessing the ubiquity of smart phones at gigs and fans’ desire to show their friends what bands they see.
“The app gives a great opportunity for bands and events to increase their social media presence via fans smart phones at their shows,” says Gordon. “Word of mouth is the most powerful promotion and GigStamp gives fans a new way of putting their visible stamp of approval on a band they love. We’re building it from the grass-roots up, with the aim of making something of real value to fans, bands, labels and promoters.”
