Counting Crows will release their highly-anticipated seventh studio album titled Somewhere Under Wonderland on September 15th on Capitol Records, through Virgin EMI in the UK. Somewhere Under Wonderland marks the band’s first original material since Saturday Night & Sunday Mornings in 2008.
Counting Crows will tour the UK in November – see details below.
The band have video clips for three tracks from the album:
The opening song on the album “Palisades Park” is available now on iTunes with the purchase of the full album. The short film of “Palisades Park,” directed by Bill Fishman, is also available now and can be seen here:
‘Scarecrow’, the first single from Somewhere Under Wonderland, is a beautiful song with a Deep South blues twang, accompanied by a unique lyric video that features 3-D chalk artist Chris Carlson hand-drawing the artwork for the song, originally painted by Felipe Molina. You can watch that video here:
‘God of Ocean Tides’ comes accompanied by a truly beautiful lyric video picturing idyllic time-lapse scenes of the Malibu shorelines, across the course of one day. This emotive acoustic ballad has been described by Under The Gun in the USA as “a haunting bit of finger-picked melancholia that returns to the sound of [the band’s debut album] ‘August And Everything After’… with a hint of a country twang.”
All of these tracks are available to download instantly now with the pre-order of Somewhere Under Wonderland on iTunes.
Fans can order limited-edition versions of the album with an art book or art portfolio directly from the band at countingcrows.com/preorder and at Amazon.
